a little something for a weekend with no children :0)

This is a wonderful drink! It was a SMASH at my wedding, where several partners were suddenly in trouble with their mates....
(it's true, I have it all on video! )
If you don't substitute anything, it is hardly possible to taste the alcohol... and that is just the way I like it.
Just a thought, if you have an icee maker, it would be very nice as a slurpee.
Enjoy!

(Click on the title... lol, took me a second to figure that out!)

and yes, This is That Dave Jackson! hehehehe

blogging 101... or lower?

I can't believe I have had so many problems with getting back to this part so I can put a few things here!! LMAO
Well, lets put a few new things here:
Both of the boys are down for the early morning nap and I am trying to get a list together so we can pack for the camping trip we are finally taking them on.
It's funny how the term "Camping" can evolve over time... growing up we lived in such a mess, (lo-o-ong story here) that camping was just an extension of our "NORMAL HOME LIFE".
I also was a bit of a "camping snob" when I got older... if you weren't tent camping and sleeping on the ground-- it wasn't camping!
Ok, Ok-- like I said, the term has changed, evolved if you will.
We are going to a KOA kampground and staying in a KABIN. (Don't you just love the kutsie spelling??)
It is pretty bare bones, but it has AC!!!!!!!!
When we first started camping in a campground, I would say-- This isn't camping- it's spending a weekend in a trailer park! Now, having realized that I can still cook out and enjoy hiking and the rest of it all-- and still have a cover over my head that Won't Leak in a sudden shower, and has AC (!!!!!!!! YAHOO!!!!!!!!) and a hot shower and a flush toilet.... (hey, running water wasn't in the home a lot of the time growing up... neither was the flush toilet & bathroom!) well, I have decided I really like this version of camping.
And to heck with sleeping on the ground! My back appreciates a mattress!
Anywho- I probably have to take my oldest twin to the doc's to have his elbow checked out before we go... he has hit it and bruised it pretty good and has already gotten Advate Factor for it to make it better- but we just want to make sure it is ok before we take him out of state. It really is kinda like camping in the back of beyond where Hemophilia is involved. We don't want to have to take him to a new hospital where they don't know crap about bleeding disorders and have to train them on our kid... it just wouldn't be right.
Well-- have to go get dressed and start a paper list so I can keep on track.. if I can keep ahold of the darn list. ( I can't wait until I can get more than 2 hours sleep at a time and start thinking and remembering again!)

First one's a charm?

Ok-- I have absolutely no clue as to what I am doing here. If I am lucky to ever find this page again, I may even write more... I am trying to see what I can customize on this site and in order for it to let me check the changes out, it told me I had to write something. I decided to actually write instead of taking the "lawful evil" path and going literal.
now I am off to see what changes I can make.
